| DBMonitor Version 2.3 is a small-footprint program, designed primarily for monitoring connections with databases and alerting DBAs and IS Managers about databases being unavailable; ASAP. You can conveniently assemble information about ALL your databases under one easy-to-read screen. DBMonitor works with whichever database engine you have - Oracle, MS SQL Server, Informix, or DB2 - you name it. Or, use a mix of engines! Try to do this using any other tool from corresponding vendors! Ask yourself whether you are checking databases for which you are responsible frequently enough? Do you have time for that? Are you checking them even after hours? The answer to all of these questions will most likely be "No". With DBMonitor the answer will be...Yes! Yes! and, Yes! And, you don't even have to lift your finger. DBMonitor will be connecting to all your databases as frequently as you want; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If any of the databases under its control is not available, or becomes available after down-time, you (and/or your DBA) will get a message either directly on the screen or via e-mail on a beeper. Of course, you may set it up to have a "do not disturb" time; to avoid annoying false alarms during periods of scheduled maintenance |
We promise
Our favorite back-end platform is ORACLE. We support versions 7.3, 8, 8i, and 9i.
PL/SQL, Stored procedures, packages, Oracle Objects, etc. is
our bread and butter.
Our second choice back-end platform is Microsoft SQL Server
. Again, stored procedures, triggers, etc. is what we do.
We will gladly work with SQL Anywhere or Sybase SQL Servers.
